“Annabella-Vesela Ellis made a shimmering impression as New Ofglen.” - Opera Magazine
season 2025 - 2026
The 2025–26 season features a diverse range of engagements for British-Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Annabella-Vesela Ellis, whose "earnest charm" and "rich mezzo soprano voice" (Independent.ie) continue to captivate audiences across the operatic and concert stages. Following a semi-finalist appearance at the International Dvořák Singing Competition, she returns to the Three Choirs Festival in Gloucester for Mozart’s Requiem, following her previous performance of the Verdi Requiem with the ensemble. Orchestral highlights include debuts with the West London Sinfonia in Manuel de Falla’s El Amor Brujo and the Carmen Suites, alongside a commemorative program with the Ukrainian Cultural Institute marking 40 years since Chernobyl, performing Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and Alla Sirenko’s Testament. Her recital diary this season includes a solo performance at St. Paul’s, Chipperfield, and a solo lunchtime recital at the Actor’s Church, Covent Garden. Annabella-Vesela Ellis continues her ongoing relationship with English National Opera, appearing on the Main Stage and contributing to the company's outreach initiatives with ENO Engage.
